Define Assessment and Exam Weightages

This function allows the users to define and setup the Subject and Assessment and Examination Weightages for the specific subject.

Roles Involved: School Exam Secretary, Sixth Form School Examination Secretary, Head of Department of Subjects & Ministry of Education DS Manage Assessment Admin

• Setup Subject and Weightages
• Setup Subject and Weightages for SPA
• Setup Subject and Weightages for BAT
• Setup Subject and Weightages for Sports Subjects
• Modify Subject and Weightages

The Assessment Setup should be done in the following sequence:

1. Student Assessment
2. Define Component and Sub Comp
3. Criteria Cut-off date setup
4. Define Component Criteria
5. Define Sub Component Criteria

Setup Subject and Weightages

1. Navigate to Main Menu > Academic Staff > Assessment and Exams > Setup > Student Assessment.

2. Enter Academic Institution, Catalog Nbr and Campus to narrow down the search results.

Note:
Catalog Number can be used to indicate the Career and Academic Level for the specific Course ID.

3. Click on the Search button.

4. Click onto desired Course ID link from the search results.

5. Fill in the details in their respective fields.

Note:

• Ensure Effective Date is within term date.
• Assessment and Exam in percentage must be equal to 100%

6. Click on the Save button.

Setup SPA Subject and Weightages

1. Navigate to Main Menu > Academic Staff > Assessment and Exams > Setup > Student Assessment.

2. Enter Academic Institution, Catalog Nbr and Campus to narrow down the search results.

Note:
Catalog Number can be used to indicate the Career and Academic Level for the specific Course ID.

3. Click on the Search button.

4. Click onto desired Course ID link from the search results.

5. Fill in the details in their respective fields.

Note:

• Ensure Effective Date is within term date.
• Assessment and Exam in percentage must be equal to 100%
• SPA percentage textbox only appears if the module attributes is ‘SPA’, if NOT, the textbox will be hidden
• For Year 7 subjects, the weightages MUST be 100% Assessment and 0% Exam.
• Y7 SPA Percentage + Y8 SPA Percentage = Y8 Assessment in Percentage.
• Understanding Year 7 and Year 8 Student Assessment Setup.

6. Click on the Save button to save the entry.

1. Navigate to Main Menu > Academic Staff > Assessment and Exams > Setup > Student Assessment.

2. Enter Academic Institution, Catalog Nbr and Campus to narrow down the search results.

Note:
Catalog Number can be used to indicate the Career and Academic Level for the specific Course ID.

3. Click on the Search button.

4. Click onto desired Course ID link from the search results.

5. Fill in the details in their respective fields.

Note:

• Ensure Effective Date is within term date.
• NO Assessment or Exam percentage is required.

6. Click on the Save button.

Catalog Number can be used to indicate the Career and Academic Level for the specific Course ID.

3. Click on the Search button.

4. Click onto desired Course ID link from the search results.

5. Fill in the details in their respective fields.

Note:

• Ensure Effective Date is within term date.
• Assessment in percentage must be equal to 100%.

6. Click on the Save button.

Modify Subject and Weightages

1. Navigate to Main Menu > Academic Staff > Assessment and Exams > Setup > Student Assessment.

2. Enter Academic Institution, Catalog Nbr and Campus to narrow down the search results.

Note:
Catalog Number can be used to indicate the Career and Academic Level for the specific Course ID.

3. Click on the Search button.

4. Click onto desired Course ID link from the search results.

5. Click Correct History button:

6. Click onto the ‘+’ button.

7. Modify the details where necessary.

8. Click Save button.
