Manage Assessment and Sub-Assessment Types

This function allows the users to define and setup the Assessment percentages, Examination percentages and Maximum Marks specified for Sports Subject Setup.

• Setup Maximum Marks and Weightages for Assessment for Sports Subject
• Setup Maximum Marks and Weightages for Sub Assessment for Sports Subject

The Assessment Setup should be done in the following sequence:

1. Student Assessment
2. Define Component and Sub Comp
3. Criteria Cut-off date setup
4. Define Component Criteria
5. Define Sub Component Criteria

Setup Maximum Marks and Weightages for Assessment for Sport Subject

PLEASE MAKE SURE THE FOLLOWING PAGES HAS BEEN DEFINED:

• Student Assessment
• Define Component and Sub Comp

1. Navigate to Main Menu > Academic Staff > Assessment and Exams > Setup > Define Component Criteria.

2. Click on the Add a New Value tab.

3. Select Academic Institution, Academic Career, Academic Organization, Subject and Academic Yearvia prompt button.

4. Click on the Add button.

Note:
Do NOT change the Effective Date.

5. Select Status from the dropdown list.

6. Select Component Code via prompt button.

7. Select Term via prompt button.

8. Select Session via prompt button.

9. Click on the check box if Component code is to be consider for Exam.

10. Fill in the Maximum Marks and Weightage in Percentage.

Note:

• For Sport School, the assessments are grouped by term as follow:
  
  • Example for Football, the assessments consist of :
  • Term 1610 : FBLIMP, FBLTHR, FBLPHY, FBLTEC, FBLMAS, FBLSKL,FBLTAC
  • Term 1620 : FBLIMP, FBLTHR, FBLPHY, FBLTEC, FBLMAS, FBLSKL,FBLTAC
• All of the assessments are consider for Final Exam. (Note: tick all at the Consider for Final Exam checkbox).
• All Maximum marks MUST BE 100%. Reason: The Grading basis in the system is out of 100.
• The sum of the Weightage must be equal to the Assessment Percentage.
• There should only be one ‘Exam’ component type.

11. Click on the Save button.

Note:
Fields with (*) indicates that they are required. User will not be able to save the page if any one of them is blank.

PLEASE CHECK (ADD/MODIFY) THE "DEFINE SUB COMPONENT CRITERIA" PAGE WHERE NECESSARY.

Setup Marks and Weightages for Sub Assessment for Sport Subject

PLEASE MAKE SURE THE FOLLOWING PAGES HAS BEEN DEFINED:

• Student Assessment
• Define Component and Sub Comp
• Define Component Criteria

1. Navigate to Main Menu > Academic Staff > Assessment and Exams > Setup > Define Sub-Component Criteria.

2. Click on the Add a New Value tab.

3. Select Academic Institution, Academic Career, Subject, Academic Year and Component Code via prompt button.

4. Click on the Add button.

Note:
Do NOT change the Effective Date.

5. Select Status from the dropdown list.

6. Select Sub Component Code via prompt button.

Note:
For TIARA and KGBK, only one sub-components is required.

7. Fill in the Weightage in Percentage and Maximum Marks.

Note:

• Weightage in Percentages must equal to the Component Percentage.
• The Maximum Marks should be the Sub Components’ full mark

8. Click '+' button to add another Sub Component code.

9. Click on the Save button.
