Manage Assessment and Sub-Assessment Types
This function allows the users to define and setup the Assessment and Examination percentages, marks and deadline for the specific Assessment.

The Assessment Setup should be done in the following sequence:
- Student Assessment
- Define Component and Sub Comp
- Criteria Cut-off date setup
- Define Component Criteria
- Define Sub Component Criteria
Setup Assessment and Sub Assessment Types
Navigate to Main Menu > Academic Staff > Assessment and Exams > Setup > Define Components and Sub Comp.
Select Academic Institution and Academic Organization via prompt button.
Click on the Add button.
Click on the Save button.

Component Code is limited to 6 characters only.
Note:
Do NOT change the Effective Date.

Modify Assessment and Sub Assessment Types
Navigate to Main Menu > Academic Staff > Assessment and Exams > Setup > Define Components and Sub Comp.
Click on the Find an Existing Value tab.
Enter the Academic Institution and Campus to narrow down the search. Click the Search button.
Select the desired Component Code link user wants to modify.
Modify the Sub Components.
Click Save button.
Note:
Setup Deadline for Assessment Types
Navigate to Main Menu > Academic Staff > Assessment and Exams > Setup > Criteria Cutoff Date Setup.
Select Academic Institution, Academic Organization and Academic Year via prompt button.
Click on the Save button.
Note:
- Before Cut-off Date, User CAN add/modify/delete: Define Component Criteria, Define Sub Component Criteria.
- On/After Cut-off Date, User CANNOT add/modify/delete: Define Component Criteria, Define Sub Component Criteria.

Setup Maximum Marks and Weightages for Assessment
PLEASE MAKE SURE THE FOLLOWING PAGES HAS BEEN DEFINED:
Navigate to Main Menu > Academic Staff > Assessment and Exams > Setup > Define Component Criteria.
Select Academic Institution, Academic Career, Academic Organization, Subject and Academic Yearvia prompt button.
Click on the check box if Component code is to be consider for Exam.
- When the Check box is checked, the Assessment will be counted towards the Final Exam Marks.
- Maximum of only FOUR Assessments that can be considered for Exam.
- For Year 7 and Year 8, a maximum of TWO Assessment can be considered for Exam for each year.
- For Assessment that is NOT considered in the Final Exam, the Weightage in Percentage MUST BE 100%
- All Maximum marks MUST BE 100%. Reason: The Grading basis in the system is out of 100.
- The sum of the Weightage must be equal to the Assessment Percentage.
- There should only be one 'Exam' component type.
Click on the Save button.

- For TIARA, the subject should be English Language and for KGBK, the subject should be Bahasa Melayu.
- For Assessment that is NOT considered in the Final Exam, the Weightage in Percentage MUST BE 100%

- The sum of the Weightage must be equal to the Assessment Percentage.

Navigate to Main Menu > Academic Staff > Assessment and Exams > Setup > Define Sub Component Criteria.
Enter Academic Institution and Academic Organization to narrow down the search. Click Search button.
Modify the details where necessary.
Click Save button.

Setup Assessment Roll Over for Primary
Roles Involved: Ministry of Education DS Manage Assessment Admin
Navigate to Main Menu > Academic Staff > Assessment and Exams > Setup > Criteria Roll Over for Primary.
Enter meaningful name for the Run Control ID field.
- The Run Control ID CANNOT have any spaces. Eg: 1006 SR PUSAR ULAK.
- User can use underscore '_' or dash '-' in between words. Eg: 1006-SR_PUSAR_ULAK.
Fill in the information with the help of Look up prompt button.
Click on the OK button.
Take note of Process Instance number to view correct report and click on the Report Monitor link.
Click on the Refresh button.
- Run Status: Success
- Distributed Status: Posted
Click on the OK button.

All of the Component Criteria and Sub Component Criteria will be copied to the selected entry. User may cross checked whether the component is being copied.
