Scholarship and Bursaries Application
This function allows the users to store all scholarship and bursary applications that have been submitted.
Roles Involved: MOE Scholarship Section - Clerk, Verifier, Administrator, Statistician (View Only) and Finance Officer (View Only).
Apply for Scholarship
Navigate to Main Menu > Student Financials > Scholarships and Bursaries > Scholarship Application Form.
In the Add a New Value tab, enter the values in the Academic Institution, Student ID, Application Year and Level Applied fields.
You will be directed to the Scholarship Application Form page.
In the Awarded Scholarship grid of the Student Details tab, enter the values in the Effective Date, Application Status, Awarded Scholarship, Course Name, Place of Study, Country, Type of Application and Domain fields.
Effective Date: Field to records effective date of the scholarship application.
Application Status: Field to record the status of application.
Awarded Scholarship: Field to record the type of scholarship awarded.
Course Name: Field to records the type of course that the applicant is studying.
Place of Study: Field to record which institute is the applicant is studying in.
Country: Field to records the country where the institute is located.
Type of Application: Field to records the type of application.
Domain: Field to record the categories of the course the applicant is taking.
In the Applicant's Particulars section of the Student Details tab, enter the data in the required fields: Applicant's Name, Identity Card No., IC Color and Gender.
In the Family Details tab, existing student's family details might be populated based on information captured in the System. If no fields are populated, user will need to enter the details manually in the scholarship application form.
In the Academic Details tab, enter the relevant data in the required fields in the Academic Achievements, Other Exams, CCA Activities & Membership and Work Experience sections. The fields in these sections might be populated if there is existing student information captured in the System.
In the Interview/Essay tab, the Essay section allows user to capture the composed essay of the applicant. This field is not required.
Under the Interview/Essay tab, users are able to capture interview information such as Multiple Mini Interview results, Oral Malay Interview, CAT, Scholarship Committee Interview.
Note: Student ID field can be left blank to allow user to add a non-existing student (Student with no INEIS ID). Upon successful saving of the Scholarship Application, a student ID (iNEIS ID) will be generated for the student.
Note: Fields in the Applicant's Particulars section grid might be populated for existing student based on information captured in the System. If details are not populated in the required fields, then user will need to insert those details manually in the System.
Note: In the File Attachments and Choice of Courses grids of the Student Details section, you may choose to leave the fields empty.
Note: In the Academic Achievements section, user can also input values other than those shown in the System in the Title of Examination, Subject and Grade fields.
Note: CCA Activities & Membership and Work Experience sections' fields will become required fields if at least one of the fields in each section is filled.
Search for Existing Scholarship Applicant
Navigate to Main Menu > Student Financials > Scholarships and Bursaries > Scholarship Application Form.
In the Find an Existing Value tab, enter the values in the Academic Institution and Student ID fields.
Click on the Search button to search for existing Scholarship Applicant.
Using Audit Trail Feature to Keep Track Changes in Application Status
Navigate to Main Menu > Student Financials > Scholarships and Bursaries > Scholarship Application Form.
In the Find an Existing Value tab, enter the values in the Academic Institution and Student ID fields.
Click on the Search button to search for existing Scholarship Applicant.
In the Application Status drop-down menu, choose the desired status.
Click on the Save button to save the entry.
At the bottom of the page, click on the arrow to view the Audit Trail details of the Scholarship Application Status. The audit trail allows user to view the user id and date timestamp of any updates done to the Scholarship Application Status.
Status values:
N - New, A - Awarded, R - Rejected, T - Terminated, S - Short-listed, O - Others, U - Suspended, W - Renewed and C - Completed.
