Setup the Reasons for Student Deferment/LOA Requests

This function allows the users to setup the Request Reasons for Student Deferment/LOA Requests.

• Add a new list of Deferment Reasons
• Update the list of Deferment Reasons

Add a new list of Deferment Reasons

Role Involved: MOE HQ Student Deferment (MOE_HQ_STDNT_ DFRMNT_OFFCR)

1. Navigate to Main Menu > Set Up SACR > Product Related > Student Movement > Setup > Request Reasons.

2. To add a new Request Reasons, click on the Add a New Value tab.

3. Select the ‘Deferment/LOA’ as the Reason Type.

4. Click on the Add button.

5. User will be directed to the Request Reasons page.

6. Click on the Calendar icon to select the date this reason is effective from as Effective Date. For the first time enter the date as 01/01/1901.

7. Select ‘Active’ in the Status field dropdown, to activate the list of reasons.

8. Enter the *Reason Code of the Request Reason.

9. Enter the description of the reason in Malay in *Reason Description (Malay).

10. Enter the description of the reason in English in *Reason Description (English).

11. Click on the ‘+’ icon in the Reason grid, to enter any additional reason for Deferment. Click on the ‘-’ icon in the Reason grid, to remove any incorrect assignments for the Reasons.

12. Once completed, click on the Save button to save the Request Reasons.

Update the list of Deferment Reasons

Role Involved: MOE HQ Student Deferment (MOE_HQ_STDNT_ DFRMNT_OFFCR)

1. Navigate to Main Menu > Set Up SACR > Product Related > Student Movement > Setup > Request Reasons.

2. To update the Request Reasons list that you have saved, click on the Find an Existing Value tab.

3. Select the ‘Deferment/LOA’ as the Reason Type.

4. Select ‘Include History’ checkbox when searching.

5. Click on the Search button to search the saved Request Reasons list.

6. User will be directed to the Request Reasons page.

7. Click on the ‘+’ icon to add a new Request Reasons record.

8. Click on the Calendar icon to enter the Effective Date for the new Request Reasons list.

9. Select ‘Active’ in the Status field dropdown, to activate the new list of reasons.

10. To add new reasons to the existing list, click on the ‘+’ icon in the Reasons grid.
    To remove reasons from the existing list, click on the ‘-’ icon in the Reasons grid.

11. Click on the Save button to save the Request Reasons.
