Define Item Types for Charges
This function allows the users to create an Item Types. Each Item Type is used to define each financial transaction for the student.
Roles Involved: MOE DS Manage Billing

Navigate to Main Menu > Setup SACR > Product Related > Student Financials > Item Types > Item Types.

Enter the required values in the SetID and Item Type fields.
SetID: MOE01
Item Type: "000000000002", "010000000002", "020000000001"

You will be directed to the Item Types setup page. Tick Charge as the classification in the Initial Setup tab when setting up charges.

In the Initial Setup tab, enter the required values in the Effective Date, Status, Description, Short Description and Keywords fields. Uncheck the GL Interface Required checkbox.

In the Account Types tab, enter the required values in the SetID and the Account Type fields.
SetID: MOE01
Account Type: FEE
Note: Ensure that any new Item Type falls within the pre-defined range as per below.

Note: Make sure the required fields are not empty: SetID and Item Type.
Note: Keyword should define the Career for which this Item Type will be used. Description of the Item Type should also define the career for which this Item Type will be used.
